Holman LightingHolman Lighting

Holman is an Australian manufacturer of low volatage garden and landscape light fixtures. A good quality lighting product for the more price conscious gardener, Holman produce path and garden lights, spot light, underwater lighting and inground lights.

Holman garden lights are manufacturered in either stainless steel, die-cast aluminium or UV stablised poly carbonate.

Step 1. Plan Your Layout

Determine the area you wish to illuminate. Draw a plan if required. Work out how many and what type of lights you require.

Step 2. Choose Your Lights

Garden Lighting Installation Guide Step 2Each fitting is pre-wired and complete with an easy to use Tee connector and lamp. Choose any combination of fittings ensuring that the total wattage does not exceed that of the transformer. MAXIMUM COMBINATION IS 300 WATT using a 300 Watt transformer.

Step 3. Choose Your Mainlne Cable

No. 2, 3 or 4 CABLE

Select the size cable to suit your power usage. Remember to allow for any extra lights you may want to fit in the future.

Note: If you have any doubt about the cable sizing always usa a bigger size. This will allow extra lights to be added in the future. Also try and loop the mainline cable as this will give a much even power distribution. Make all joins to the trasformer or extra cable with King water-proof connectors.

Step 4. Choose Your Transformer

50, 120, 200 or 300 WATT

Choose the most suitable transformer for your application and budget.

50 Watt – for a basic small system.

120 Watt – has light lensor and timer for auto turn on and off. Can be installed indoors or outdoors by simply hanging on a wall or post.

50, 100, 150, 200 or 300 Watt – Fully epoxy encapsulated for weather protection.

Step 5. Easy To Install

  • Position the transformer. (Indoors or Outdoors)
  • Connect the mainline cable.
  • Run the mainline cable through the garden. Position it to be out of frequently dug areas, but adjacent to where you want the light fittings.
  • Turn power on and fit the light fittings using the 'Tee Connectors' supplied with the lights.
  • The lights should turn on as you install, if not repeat the process.
  • When dark, position lights to give the desired lighting effects.
  • Starlites can also be connected to this sytem. (Each light is 1/2 Watt).
